McKool Smith defended the owner of Santa Monica, Calif.-based Pacific Park amusement park as well as the company’s CEO, holding company and directors in a lawsuit filed by potential buyers of the park.  The suit, which was filed in the in state district court in Dallas, alleged breach of contract and other claims over the failed purchase of the park, which is located on the Santa Monica Pier.  McKool Smith filed a Special Appearance to contest personal jurisdiction, which was granted and the case was dismissed in its entirety and the defendants were awarded costs.
