DALLAS – Attorney Mike McKool, co-founder McKool Smith,  one of the nation’s largest trial firms, is featured in the May edition of D CEO magazine as one of the top corporate attorneys in Dallas.

In the story titled “The Advocates,” the magazine details how corporations call on Mr. McKool for representation in important intellectual property cases and high-stakes business litigation based on his preparation for courtroom trials and his ability to persuade juries.

“McKool’s results against corporate defendants — often multimillion- dollar outcomes — are some of the biggest reasons CEOs want him on their side,” the article states.

Mr. McKool is a veteran of more than 120 courtroom trials, and he regularly represents some of the world’s leading companies in multimillion-dollar cases both as plaintiffs and defendants.  His courtroom track record includes representing investment firms, airlines, telecommunications providers, software manufacturers, and oil & gas companies, among many others.

“It is always gratifying to be recognized for what I do, but particularly in this case because my clients were interviewed about what they really think about my work,” says Mr. McKool.  “The truth is that I work with a lot of great attorneys, and the good we do for clients is a combination of effort from a lot of talented people.”

In addition referencing satisfied clients, including Ray Hunt of Hunt Consolidated Inc., the article also quotes one of Mr. McKool’s courtroom opponents, who confirmed his reputation as a formidable trial lawyer.

“Mike will dig to the bottom and get every fact he needs. You know you’re in a battle royal when you go up against him,” the attorney is quoted as saying.

McKool Smith has more than 90 attorneys in Dallas, Austin, Marshall, New York and Washington, D.C., handling commercial and intellectual property litigation for national and international clients. The firm is recognized as one of the premier litigation law firms in the United States, having earned significant courtroom victories for clients such as American Airlines, BearingPoint, Ericsson, Electronic Data Systems, Lockheed Martin, Medtronic Inc., and Sony Ericsson.
