McKool Smith has been recognized by Law360 as one of five “Go-To” trial firms in the country in a report published on February 26, 2016. In the report, Law360 notes that “McKool Smith has made a big name for itself in litigation, particularly in intellectual property. It's not a small firm, with more than 180 lawyers, but its successes aren't small either.” The article continues by reporting on some of the firm’s most recent trial wins, including a $15 million verdict for Droplets Inc. in a patent suit against Sears Holding Corp. and Overstock.com Inc., and $525 million award on behalf of whistleblower Joshua Harman against Trinity Industries Inc. In June 2015, a final judgment of $663,360,750 was entered for McKool Smith’s client against the defendant.
