McKool Smith Announces Latest Addition in Washington, DC
Continued Expansion
WASHINGTON, DC – The national law firm of McKool Smith is announcing the firm’s continued expansion in the nation’s capital with the addition of intellectual property litigator Jeffrey I. Frey.
Mr. Frey joins the firm’s Washington, DC, office as a principal after previously practicing with Dewey & LeBeouf.

Mr. Frey’s practice is devoted to intellectual property litigation, including work involving semiconductor technology, mobile telephone and other network communications, computer security systems, and medical device patents. Like many of the attorneys at McKool Smith, he holds an advanced degree in electrical engineering.
A former federal clerk for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, Mr. Frey also handles appellate work for domestic and international clients.
Prior to his legal career, Mr. Frey served as a Professor of Electrical Engineering at both Cornell University and the University of Maryland. He provides clients with rare insight in intellectual property matters based on his many years as an educator and practicing attorney.
