Ashley Moore is an Associate in McKool Smith’s Dallas office.
In 2000, Ms. Moore became a registered patent agent at a large, national law firm where she prosecuted patent applications. After several years, she turned these skills toward intellectual property licensing and litigation, joining McKool Smith in 2007. She worked full time while attending law school, and became an associate with the firm upon graduation in 2010.
Her experience includes all aspects of patent litigation from pre-filing investigations to trial, including: infringement and invalidity contentions, discovery motions, depositions, claim construction, summary judgment and pre-trial briefing, and witness and expert preparation.
Representative Matters
- i2 Technologies. Ms. Moore represented i2 against SAP in a patent infringement action involving supply chain management software. The case resulted in a multi-million dollar payment to i2 shortly after the Markman hearing.
- Ericsson. Ms. Moore represents Ericsson in a variety of licensing and litigation matters, including Ericsson v. D-Link et al., a patent infringement action involving wireless 802.11 technologies in the Eastern District of Texas.
- Halliburton. Ms. Moore represents Halliburton in a multi-phase arbitration related to several hydraulic fracture patents.
