Jonathan Yim is an Associate in the Dallas office of McKool Smith. He will take the Texas Bar Examination in July.
Prior to law school, Mr. Yim received his Fulbright grant to study historical musicology in Austria for 2004-2005 at the University of Vienna and the Austrian National Library. He also performed as a pianist for the U.S. Ambassador and the Austrian Minister of Education, Science and Culture in "Commemoration of the Centennial Anniversary of the Birth of Senator J. William Fulbright" at the Vienna Diplomatic Academy as well as in a "Benefit Concert for the Victims of the South-Asian Flood Catastrophe" in the Beethoven Hall at Heiligenstadt.
During law school, his note on the European Union's language policy was selected for publication in The International Lawyer (the official quarterly publication of the American Bar Association Section of International Law). Mr. Yim later served as Editor-in-Chief of The International Lawyer. He returned to Vienna to compete in the Fourteenth Annual Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot, where his team qualified as the 13th-seeded finalist out of 178 teams from 51 countries.
Mr. Yim speaks German and Spanish.
