David Anderson is a Principal in the Dallas office of McKool Smith whose practice deals with complex commercial and intellectual property litigation. In his career as a litigator, he has helped numerous clients obtain successful verdicts.

Mr. Anderson is active in the community and participates in McKool Smith’s Pro Bono Criminal Trial Program, which provides jury trial counsel to the underprivileged.

Representative Matters

Medtronic, Inc. Patent infringement llitigation involving cardiac pacemakers and defibrillators.

BearingPoint, Inc. Mr. Anderson represented BearingPoint, Inc., formerly KPMG Consulting, in Agribiotech v. KPMG Consulting, an Oracle E.R.P. software implementation case, and in EquaTerra v. KPMG Consulting, a failed technology start-up case. Mr. Anderson handled third party nationwide discovery in Covad v. Bell Atlantic, an antitrust case.

PNC Financial Services Group. Mr. Anderson represents PNC in a patent infringement case in the Eastern District of Texas involving image-based check processing.

US Synthetic Corporation. Mr. Anderson represents US Synthetic in a patent infringement case involving cutting elements for drill bits.

Halliburton Energy Services, Inc. Mr. Anderson represents Halliburton in a patent infringement case involving cutting elements for drill bits.

Pilgrim's Pride Corporation. Mr. Anderson represents Pilgrim's Pride in a lawsuit in the Southern District of New York involving claims of trademark infringement, breach of contract and tortious interference with contractual relations.

Silver Point Capital, L.P. Mr. Anderson represented hedge fund Silver Point Capital in a lawsuit involving claims of breach of contract and foreclosure of a loan in default.

Wilsonart International, Inc. Representation of Wilsonart International, Inc. in a dispute with a supplier/competitor involving numerous claims, including breach of contract, fraud and misappropriation of trade secrets.
