Matthew B. Rappaport is an Associate in McKool Smith's Austin office.
Mr. Rappaport’s practice focuses on intellectual property litigation. During law school he was a legal intern at the UVA Patent Foundation where he drafted and filed patent applications and developed licensing agreements. While completing his graduate degree he worked as an engineering intern at Mobile Satellite Ventures, developing protocols for terrestrial and satellite communications systems. In college Mr. Rappaport worked at Wireless Valley Communications, developing software tools for deploying efficient cellular and WIFI systems.
Representative Matters
- Eolas. Eolas v. Adobe et al. (E.D. Tex). Mr. Rappaport represents Eolas in a patent infringement action against multiple defendants involving embedding interactive objects in web pages.
- Eolas. Microsoft Corp. v. Eolas Technologies (N.D. Ill). Mr. Rappaport represents Eolas in a breach of contract action concerning a patent license agreement.
