Representative Matters
From 2005 to 2010, Ms. Chock represented a number of U.S. institutional investors in litigation against Bank of America in connection with the insurance companies’ purchases of Parmalat-related debt securities. The firm's five Parmalat cases were settled on terms favorable to our clients. Prior to that, Ms. Chock worked with a team of attorneys representing a number of large U.S. institutional investors in five state court actions against several Wall Street banks in connection with the investors’ purchases of Enron and Enron-related securities. All five Enron cases settled successfully on terms favorable to our clients in 2005.
Ms. Chock successfully opposed CIBC World Market’s extensive appellate challenges to a large jury verdict in a securities fraud case won by our firm on behalf of its distressed debt investor clients Oaktree, TCW, and Pacholder in 2003. She also successfully cross-appealed in connection with that verdict, obtaining millions of dollars in prejudgment interest for the firm's clients. The appellate decision is published at OCM Principal Opportunities Fund, L.P. v. CIBC World Markets Corp., 157 Cal. App. 4th 835 (2007).
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Chock also worked extensively in the field of intellectual property litigation.
More recently, Ms. Chock has been prosecuting two high-stakes professional negligence cases for high net worth individual clients.Professional & Community Activities
