Jill Bindler is an Associate in the Dallas office of McKool Smith whose practice deals with complex commercial litigation.

Prior to joining McKool Smith, Ms. Bindler was an Associate at Brackett & Ellis, PC, and an Assistant Federal Public Defender for the Northern District of Texas. She continues to represent indigent defendants in federal court. From 1991-93, she was a clerk to Magistrate Judge Alex H. McGlinchey of the Northern District of Texas, Fort Worth Division. Before that, she was an intern for Magistrate Judge Judith K. Guthrie of the Eastern District of Texas, Tyler Division.

Representative Matters

Charter Communications. Ms. Bindler represents Charter and its local franchise, Marcus Cable Associates, L.L.C. She represented Charter in a matter involving the Texas Underground Excavation and Damage Prevention Act in Charter Communications v. TXU Electric Co. She recently represented Charter in a trademark infringement matter.

Gulf South Pipeline Co. In Wyble v. Gulf South Pipeline Company, L.P. and GS Pipeline Company, L.L.C., in a citizen suit brought on behalf of East Texas landowners against Gulf South alleging violations of the Pipeline Safety Act.

Ericsson.  Ericsson v. IDC, was a patent infringement suit relating to systems for cellular networks.

Electronic Data Systems.   Akai Musical Instruments v. Electronic Data Systems was a negligent misrepresentation case.

Lippert Tire & Axle. Ms. Bindler represented Lippert Tire & Axle, Terry N. Winskey, and John Penney in Ace Tire & Axle, Inc. v. Lippert Tire & Axle Texas Ltd. Partnership, involving allegations of antitrust violations and business interference.
