Jeff Carter has been a Principal in the Dallas office of McKool Smith since its inception. His litigation practice has included general commercial, securities, director liability and intellectual property cases. American Video Graphics, L.P.  Represented AVG in a series of patent infringement suits against the computer industry, video game industry, and video game makers related to 3-D graphics technology.

Lockheed. Aerobautics v. Lockheed Martin Corporation. Represented Lockheed Martin in a patent infringement case involving non-destructive testing technology.  L-3 Communicatons Integrated Systems, LP v. Lockheed Martin Corporation.  Represents Lockheed Martin in an antitrust case brought by L-3.

Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company. Lemelson v. Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company. Represented TSMC in a patent infringement suit regarding the manufacture of semiconductor chips.

Parental Guide. Parental Guide of Texas v. Funai. Represented plaintiff Parental Guide in patent litigation relating to V-chip television technology.

Ericsson. Represented Ericsson in Ericsson v. IDC, a patent litigation relating to systems for cellular networks.

Hicks Muse Tate and Furst. Represented Hicks Muse in a fraudulent conveyance action in Hicks Muse Tate and Furst v. Healthco.

First Republic Bank. FDIC v. First Republic Bank Directors. Represented the Board of Directors of First Republic Bank Corporation in action brought by the FDIC arising out of the failure of the First Republic Bank.

EDS. Computer Associates v. EDS. Represented EDS in software licensing litigation.

City of Dallas. Walker v. City of Dallas. Represented the City of Dallas in a housing discrimination case.

City of Dallas. Williams v. City of Dallas. Represented the City of Dallas in a voting rights case concerning the configuration of the City Council.
