Ms. Thompson is an AV-rated attorney and has 18 years of experience representing domestic and foreign clients in a wide variety of complex commercial litigation matters in federal and state courts nationwide. Litigation matters she has handled include complex contract disputes, business torts, disputes between competitors (including intellectual property, trade secrets, covenants not to compete, and other issues of unfair competition under state law), securities litigation, accountant malpractice, and financial institution litigation.
Ms. Thompson has given CLE presentations on the attorney-client privilege to hundreds of senior executives, in-house counsel and trial attorneys throughout Texas. She also has given CLE presentations on discovery sanctions and injunctive relief. Her written publications include co-authoring Annual Survey of Texas Law -- Banking Litigation, 45 Sw. L.J. 1297 (1992), “Death Penalty” Sanctions: When to Get Them and How to Keep Them, 46 Baylor L. Rev. 737 (1994), and The DOJ/FTC 2007 Report on the Interplay Between Antitrust Issues and Intellectual Property Rights, The Licensing Journal (September & October 2007).
