McKool Smith principal Blair Jacobs was quoted in the Law360’s article “Fed. Circ. Eases Serving Of Patent Suits On Foreign Cos.” A recent Federal Court decision will likely provide judges and plaintiffs a route to bypass the procedure set by the Hague Convention along with the bureaucratic and political issues. In addition, many countries have delayed the process of serving complaints due to the pandemic disruptions, giving plaintiffs more reasons to consider serving the complaints in the US.
