The article covers a recent verdict in the United States District Court for the Western District of Washington what a jury found that a patent owner had violated bad faith laws. The verdict is the first of its kind. Kevin comments on the affect this will have on future patent cases saying, "It may change the patent landscape for a small number of patent plaintiffs and counsel that have been asserting low quality or unvetted patent assertions, but I don't think that's a large portion of the patent owner market."
