McKool Smith has been recognized as one of the most active and high-performing law firms in the Patexia 2026 ITC Intelligence Report. The report, which offers a comprehensive analysis of the most active and successful International Trade Commission Section 337 attorneys and law firms, also recognized several McKool Smith intellectual property litigators among the top performers in the country.

The annual report ranked McKool Smith as the No.3 most active law firm representing complainants. The firm was also among one of the top 25 most active law firms overall.

McKool Smith Principals Eric HansenRichard Kamprath, Joshua Newcomer, and Mitch Verboncoeur, along with Associate Casey Shomaker were named among the top 50 most active and best performing attorneys representing complainants.

Principals Josh Budwin, Kevin Hess, Veronica Manning, and Nick Mathews, along with Associate Alex Chern were also ranked among the top most active and best performing attorneys representing complainants.

Patexia’s ITC Intelligence Report covers the period between January 1, 2020, and December 31, 2025, encompassing a total of 408 investigations.
