McKool Smith associate Ashley Moore was featured as a special guest on the Whatever It Takes (WIT) Network’s June 3, 2015 broadcast of “3 Days to A Raise with Bethany Williams” in a segment titled “Women in Law - Breaking into the Bar.”

During her feature segment, Ms. Moore provided professional development advice and best practices for women lawyers, particularly women trial lawyers, to break through barriers and excel in their careers. “In order to stand out in any career, I believe there are two important rules to live by,” Ms. Moore explained. “Always ask questions and be a trailblazer.”

Ms. Moore earned an undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering with Biomedical Specialization from Southern Methodist University (SMU) before graduating from SMU Dedman School of Law. Since arriving at McKool Smith more than eight years ago, Ms. Moore has earned a reputation as a talented trial lawyer. Her recent courtroom victories include serving as a member of the firm’s trial team on behalf of clients Summit 6 and Ericsson. The Summit 6 case resulted in a $15 million patent infringement award against Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. and Samsung Telecommunications America, Inc. The final judgment ordered an additional $1.8 million in prejudgment interest for a total award of $16.8 million. The Ericsson case resulted in a $10+ million patent infringement award against a number of wireless router and laptop makers.

In 2014, McKool Smith launched its annual Women’s Leadership Forum, which Ms. Moore has been actively involved in each year. This two-day gathering was created to provide professional development and leadership skills training to promote the advancement of women lawyers in the firm.
