Law360 interviewed leading trial attorneys on what tops their practice’s wish lists for the upcoming year in “What Trial Attorneys Want For The Holidays.” Silicon Valley Managing Principal Courtland Reichman describes how fewer trials can make it difficult for newer attorneys to gain trial experience and believes that the American public suffers when jury trials begin to disappear.  "I really believe — and there's a consensus among people who are really trying cases — that it's a cornerstone of our democracy," he said.  In addition to more jury trials in 2018, attorneys would also like to see a trial court taking action in discovery and a stopwatch for trials.
