The Hollywood Reporter recently published a report on a case in which McKool Smith represents FEG Entretenimientos in a $3 million countersuit against music icon Mariah Carey and her company, Mirage Entertainment, for breach of contract and defamation in connection with Carey’s cancellation of two scheduled shows in fall 2017.

In the report, McKool Smith principal Robert Allen, lead counsel for FEG, explained "Carey’s unilateral cancellation of the Argentina and Chile Performances — a mere three days prior to the Argentina Performance and less than a week before the Chile Performance — constituted material breaches of her obligations under each of the Tour Agreements."
