McKool Smith’s client Ericsson has successfully reached a confidential settlement with Lenovo to partially resolve their patent licensing dispute over a multi-year, global patent cross-license agreement between the two companies.

As part of this settlement, both parties will withdraw all ongoing lawsuits and administrative proceedings filed in various jurisdictions, including the pending cases before the United States International Trade Commission (USITC).

Financial impacts are anticipated to be recognized beginning in the second quarter of 2025, reflecting the partial settlement. The remaining aspects of the dispute will be fully resolved through an arbitration process.
