New York Principal Ken Frenchman and Associates Marc Ladd and Alex Sugzda authored an article, “What Corporate Policyholders Need to Know About Hurricane Coverage,” in New York Law Journal that discusses insurance coverage after a destructive hurricane.  Ken, Marc, and Alex write that “When it comes to insurance coverage for a hurricane, the most important steps are taken before the storm. When purchasing property insurance, it is important to assess the risk of hurricane damage to your property and have a clear understanding of the coverage that you will have in place in the event of a hurricane.”  They also discuss the critical role effective counsel plays in getting claims paid, turning an insurer’s inclination from denial to payment, and best positioning the policyholder in the event litigation becomes necessary.
