Overview

Megan Howe joins McKool Smith after beginning her legal career at a leading Wall Street firm, where she helped litigate commercial, securities, regulatory, and white collar matters. She has significant experience with investigations involving Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) and anti-money laundering compliance issues. Her clients have included public companies, major financial institutions, and private equity firms.

While attending law school, Megan interned for the Honorable Katherine B. Forrest of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, was Managing Editor of the Moot Court Board, and served as Vice President of Operations for the Supreme Court Forum. Megan also maintains an active pro bono practice, most recently representing (1) an individual in the successful appeal of a Special Immigrant Juvenile Status application denial, (2) an individual in a resentencing in Louisiana state court, and (3) an individual in a child support violation and modification proceeding.
