Cyrus Bayar is an Associate in McKool Smith's New York office. His practice focuses on complex commercial and intellectual property litigation. Prior to joining the firm, Cyrus clerked for the Honorable Ann Aiken of the U.S. District Court for the District of Oregon. He began his legal career representing technology companies in intellectual property and governance matters, venture capital financings, and M&A transactions as an associate at another prominent law firm.
During law school he was a member of Duke’s Moot Court Board, an editor for the Duke Law & Technology Review and the Journal of Comparative & International Law, and an intern at the U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission. Before law school he was a proxy analyst at Glass Lewis & Co. and a co-founder of a health-food start-up.
In his spare time he enjoys skiing, practicing martial arts, and attending piano recitals.
