Doreen Klein is senior counsel in the New York office of McKool Smith. She represents corporations and individuals in connection with investigations conducted by federal and state agencies and in civil matters related to such inquiries. Doreen has extensive experience in the area of federal qui tam litigation. Her representation of clients has involved allegations of fraud by an international reinsurance company, allegations of bribery of public officials, and allegations of violations of federal wire and mail fraud statutes.

Doreen previously spent 15 years with the New York County District Attorney's Office, where she served in the frauds, trial, and appeals bureaus. As a prosecutor, Doreen investigated and prosecuted cases involving varied offenses, including fraud in the sale of securities, fraudulent private placements, embezzlement, and insurance kickbacks.
