Melody McGowin is an associate in McKool Smith's New York office. Prior to joining the firm, Melody gained experience as a pro bono law clerk at Verizon, where she spearheaded new initiatives to match lawyers with potential pro bono clients. Additionally, she supported and extended Verizon's pro bono initiatives in New Jersey, across the U.S., and globally by assisting lawyers with a broad range of matters, including veterans' affairs appeals and a merger between nonprofits. She also held a position with the American Friends Service Committee, where she completed U-Visa applications for undocumented immigrant victims of crime.
While attending law school, Melody was a staff member of the American Review of International Arbitration. She is fluent in French and conversant in Moroccan Arabic.
