Rebecca Matsumura is an associate in McKool Smith's Austin office. She focuses her practice on white collar and complex commercial litigation. Prior to joining the firm, Rebecca was a law clerk for the Honorable Allyne Ross at the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York in Brooklyn, New York.
While attending law school, Rebecca was an active member of The Yale Law School Trial Advocacy Team. Her team was a semi-finalist at the Tournament of Champions. Rebecca was a finalist in the school-wide Barristers’ Union mock trial competition. An avid student of international law, Rebecca also competed in the Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot in Vienna, Austria, where her team won Honorable Mention; studied legal education in Santiago, Chile; and interned with a legal aid organization in Beijing, China.
Rebecca is a Spanish speaker.
