At McKool Smith, our young lawyers work side-by-side with experienced attorneys to gain valuable experience while learning the intricacies of the law.  Rather than simply sending our young lawyers to the research stacks, we strive to ensure that every attorney at the firm has the knowledge they need to succeed in the courtroom.  One example is our pro bono mentoring program, where the firm’s young lawyers work with our partners on behalf of criminal defendants who cannot afford legal counsel.  This program, which has earned significant media coverage, not only provides our pro bono clients with quality legal representation, but also provides our young lawyers with courtroom experience they might not get elsewhere.
