New York principal Rick Halper will be speaking at the Association of Certified Financial Crime Specialists’ (ACFCS) Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA) Essentials Seminar on June 13, 2014 in New York City. Mr. Halper’s seminar will discuss “Tax Enforcement Beyond FATCA,” and include a brief history of US enforcement efforts related to offshore tax evasion and Swiss institutions, and its connection to FATCA, and the Swiss bank program and its potential for serving as a model for future tax enforcement procedures.
The ACFCS seminar will provide practical guidance on FATCA implementation for financial institutions, but also for the full range of U.S. and non-U.S. corporations that have new withholding duties under the law.
