McKool Smith Attorneys Represent Ericsson in Global Litigation with Samsung
DALLAS – Attorneys from McKool Smith served as lead counsel for Sweden’s Telefon AB L.M. Ericsson and Sony Ericsson, Inc., in wireless technology patent litigation against South Korea’s Samsung Electronics Co.
The litigation was pending in District courts in the U.S., in two parallel investigations before the International Trade Commission, and in the United Kingdom, Germany and the Netherlands.
The global litigation was resolved by a worldwide cross-license agreement announced July 9. Ericsson and Samsung agreed to drop all wireless-technology-related lawsuits between the two companies as part of the agreement.
