McKool Smith has been awarded Plaintiff Firm of the year and Impact Case of the Year at Managing IP's Americas Awards 2026. The Managing IP Awards is one of the legal industry’s most respected programs, recognizing leading IP law firms across the Americas. It spans multiple practice areas and more than 50 jurisdictions, with rankings based on extensive research that includes input from firms, practitioners, and clients gathered through interviews, surveys, and direct outreach.

These awards follow several victories on behalf of plaintiff clients including a $192 million patent infringement verdict on behalf of Mojo against Samsung, a pivotal victory for Ericsson against Lenovo before the International Trade Commission (ITC), and a precedential opinion on behalf of ParkerVision before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit against Qualcomm.

Impact Case of the Year was awarded for securing an $118 million patent infringement verdict for Netlist against Samsung, with a jury finding Samsung willfully infringed three of Netlist’s patents related to memory module technology, and more specifically, to a concept called rank multiplication.
