Dallas Principal Avery Williams was quoted in The Verge's article titled "Sam Altman Didn't Need Another Lawsuit." The article discusses Apple’s lawsuit accusing OpenAI and several former Apple employees of stealing trade secrets to support OpenAI’s push into AI hardware. It examines how the legal battle could threaten OpenAI’s planned 2027 device launch and anticipated IPO, while noting that the allegations themselves are relatively typical of Silicon Valley trade secret disputes. Avery says "Apple is a tenacious litigant … They do not tend to back down" and also acknowledges that  it appears to be a "run-of-the-mill trade secrets misappropriations claim."
