Since the 1960’s, the federal court in East Texas has been known for quickly resolving high-stakes commercial disputes. It often takes 18 months or less for a complex commercial dispute to go to trial in East Texas – approximately half the time of many other federal districts. The federal bench in East Texas has long been blessed with outstanding judges who employ a “fast track” docket system for resolving disputes quickly and efficiently.
Heading our East Texas office is former judge Sam Baxter. Mr. Baxter’s long-term legal practice, community involvement and judicial experience in Marshall have provided him with special familiarity in the Eastern District courts.
