David earned his J.D., cum laude, from South Texas College of Law Houston. While in law school he received CALI Excellence for the Future Awards in First Amendment and in Agency & Partnership, and was a champion of the Energy and Mineral Law Foundation National Moot Court Competition.

David holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Oklahoma. Before law school, David spent more than seven years in the power generation industry.
