McKool Smith and co-counsel from Umberg Zipser LLP obtained a complete defense verdict on punitive damages for MGA Entertainment and founder Isaac Larian in a closely watched trade dress and right-of-publicity dispute brought by rapper T.I. and Tameka "Tiny" Harris over MGA's L.O.L. Surprise! O.M.G. doll line.
After a five-day trial, the jury unanimously rejected the plaintiffs' bid for up to $125 million in punitive damages, finding no fraud, malice, or oppression.
