Dallas Principal Scott Hejny was quoted in World Intellectual Property Review's article, "End of the 'Death Squad'? Squires puts PTAB on trial."  The article discusses proposed changes to the United States Patent and Trademark Office from Director John Squires that will affect inter partes review and post-grant review, and the institution of the America Invents Act. Scott discusses the effects this could have on institution rates and says "The PTO is taking an active role in managing the PGR process and appears to be trying to eliminate the parallel validity tracks that have increased litigation costs—and been perceived as a serious threat to patent rights—in the recent past."
