Overview
Kenneth Scott is an associate in McKool Smith's Austin office. His practice focuses on patent, technology, and commercial litigation. He has represented plaintiffs and defendants in every stage of litigation, and has experience with a range of technologies, particularly in software, mobile devices, and wireless and cellular communications. His experience includes briefing and arguing motions at every stage of litigation, including at trial. Kenneth's pro bono experience includes his representation of clients in real estate and landlord-tenant disputes and of asylum seekers in immigration proceedings.
While attending the University of Texas School of Law, he served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Rolando Olvera of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas. He also served as Submissions Editor for the Texas Intellectual Property Law Journal, as T.Q. for the Legal Research & Writing course, and as a research assistant in constitutional law to Professor Larry Sager.
Before law school, Kenneth worked as an engineer in construction and aerospace research. He holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin, where he was a Whaley Scholar.
