Mary-Olga "Mo" Lovett

Mary-Olga “Mo” Lovett is a veteran trial lawyer with more than 30 years of experience handling high-stakes litigation. She has tried dozens of cases involving a wide range of legal issues, including over 50 matters with more than $100 billion at stake. A proven first-chair trial lawyer, Mo represents national and global clients in bet-the-company litigation and is frequently called upon to lead litigation teams in matters involving significant financial, operational and reputational risk. Mo’s trial record has earned her Lifetime Achievement honors from both Texas Lawyer and the Women, Influence & Power in Law Awards (Law.com).

Mo represents clients in complex disputes involving patent and trademark infringement, trade secrets, commercial disputes, class actions, employment litigation and product liability. She has served as lead counsel in more than 70 patent cases in the Eastern District of Texas for both plaintiffs and defendants. Her recent representations include leading legal teams defending a global energy company against allegations involving billions of dollars in environmental damage; defending a global technology company in a multibillion-dollar Lanham Act dispute; prosecuting trademark claims on behalf of Grammy-winning performers; and serving as lead trial counsel for the target defendant in a Texas state court matter involving approximately 2,000 plaintiffs arising from an explosion in Houston.

Mo is licensed to practice in Texas and New York, and her cases have taken her to state and federal courts throughout the country. Known for her strategic, relentless approach and tenacity, Mo is often brought into complex litigation to develop trial strategies, lead trial teams and address difficult legal and factual issues.
