Overview

Brandon Merrill is an Associate in McKool Smith’s Dallas, TX office. His practice focuses on all aspects of patent litigation, including developing case strategies, preparing infringement and invalidity charts, managing expert witnesses, assisting in trial preparation, managing inter partes review (IPR) and ex parte reexamination (EPRx) efforts for both patent owners and challengers, and drafting appeals to the Federal Circuit.

Brandon attended the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School where he served as a law clerk for the Christian Legal Clinics of Philadelphia, was a National Semifinalist for the AIPLA Giles S. Rich Memorial Moot Court Competition, and gained oral advocacy experience in patent and complex litigation courses taught by multiple federal judges.
