Overview

Lauren Simenauer is an associate in the Washington, D.C. office of McKool Smith. She practices primarily in complex commercial litigation. She gained significant experience with a large multi-national firm, working with high-profile clients involved in complex litigation.

Prior to joining the firm, she was a law clerk on the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas.  During law school, Lauren was an Articles Editor on The Georgetown Law Journal and a student attorney in Georgetown's Criminal Justice Clinic, representing indigent clients in criminal cases.

  • In re Wells Fargo Bank, N.A., Secured a pivotal trial win on behalf of junior bondholders—400 Capital Management, La Verdad Holdings, Solula LLC, and Robert Dechert—in a high-stakes residential mortgage-backed securitization (RMBS) trustee proceeding concerning 34 RMBS trusts.
