Overview

Mariel Talmage is an associate in McKool Smith's New York office. She is a versatile litigator with a wide range of experience. Her current practice focuses on intellectual property and commercial litigation. Mariel returned to McKool Smith after clerking for the Hon. Robert W. Lehrburger in the Southern District of New York, where she assisted in a wide range of civil matters at all stages of litigation.

Prior to joining firm, Mariel gained extensive experience in environmental law working with the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection and handled a variety of litigation matters with the Bet Tzedek Civil Litigation Clinic at Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law. At Cardozo, Mariel also served as a Notes Editor for the Cardozo Law Review, served as a research assistant and teaching assistant for several professors, and earned the Louis D. Brandeis Award for the highest GPA in her graduating class.
