Overview

Parker Blackburn is an Associate in McKool Smith's Dallas office. He earned his law degree from The University of Texas School of Law.

While earning his law degree, Parker gained valuable experience serving as a law intern for the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Texas where he drafted motions to dismiss federal agency statutes, statutes of limitations, and conspiracy law, created memoranda on the exclusionary rule for motions to suppress, and attended trials. He was also a student attorney for the Law & Religion clinic, where he represented clients of all faiths who faced challenges to their religious liberty and assisted faculty attorneys in developing case strategies involving Religion and Free Speech Clauses. Parker participated in the Texas Law Pro Bono Pledge and provided 50 hours of voluntary service for multiple projects, including Driver's License Recovery Clinic and TABC Expunction Clinic.
