The Dallas Morning News reported Dallas City Council has decided to move forward to recover financial damages from Netflix, Hulu, and Disney, “for their alleged failure to pay a franchise tax amounting to 5% of gross revenues under Texas’ Public Utility Regulatory Act.” Dallas will retain McKool Smith, Ashcroft Sutton Reyes and Korein Tillery to represent the City.
