Discuss a noteworthy matter you’ve handled over the past year.
I represented a client in an oil and gas dispute. The party we sued obtained a summary judgment from the trial court dismissing all claims. We filed an appeal and I presented our oral argument to the court of appeals and we subsequently obtained a reversal of the summary judgment as to all claims and expect now to be able to proceed to a jury trial. After 43 years of practice I still enjoy the challenges of oral advocacy whether in front of a jury, trial court or appellate courts.
What differentiates your practice from others?
While many attorneys have leaned toward developing specialties in certain areas of practice or industries, I have always prided myself on not specializing in one particular type of dispute. Instead, I have made a point over my 43 year career to handle many different types of cases involving many different industries and disciplines on both sides of the docket. My clients benefit from my ability to successfully navigate any type of dispute from start to finish regardless of the subject matter.
