Dallas Principal Avery Williams was quoted in Managing IP's article "‘Game-Changing’: SCOTUS Provides Clear Guidance on ISP Liability." The article discusses the recent U.S. Supreme Court decision in Cox Communications v. Sony Music Entertainment which determined that internet service providers (ISPs) are not liable for infringement activity committed by their users. Avery says that "Clients need to think about policing and using bot services to determine if they can establish a pattern of infringing behaviour by users and then go to the ISPs and demand that they correct it, and if not, seek compensation."
