Jennifer has been involved in many of the most significant trials that have taken place in the Eastern District of Texas (EDTX) in recent years. Collectively, since 2014, Jennifer has played an important role on McKool Smith trial team that have secured five Verdict Search/National Law Journal “Top 100 Verdicts,” including  a $525 million qui tam/whistleblower verdict for the United States/Joshua Harman against Trinity Industries; a $131 million antitrust verdict for Red Lion Medical Safety against General Electric (GE); a $75 million patent infringement verdict for Ericsson against TCL Communication; a $506 million patent infringement verdict for PanOptis against Apple; and, a $300 million patent infringement verdict for PanOptis against Apple. These victories amount to more than $1.5 billion in verdicts for the firm’s clients over the past eight years alone.

Prior to joining McKool Smith, Jennifer was the first assistant district attorney of Harrison County, Texas, where she prosecuted felony cases involving injury and assault of children and represented the Department of Family and Protective Services in cases where children and adults were taken into protective custody. During her seven-year tenure with the Harrison County District Attorney’s Office, Jennifer honed her courtroom skills and became a particularly effective litigator in front of East Texas juries. She is also a trained mediator.

Along with her many successes in the courtroom, Jennifer is also very involved in mentoring McKool Smith’s female lawyers and helping to develop the next generation of female principals and leaders in the firm. Most recently, she took a leadership role in helping to lead the Firm’s Women’s Leadership Development Programming.
