Mike McKool and Sam Baxter will speak during the upcoming Southern Methodist University (SMU) Dedman School of Law 2011 Symposium on Emerging Intellectual Property Issues taking place in Dallas, Texas on February 18, 2011. The symposium will focus on the impact that the Eastern District of Texas (EDTX) has had on patent law, patent reform and innovation.
Mike’s panel will discuss the “History and Development of the EDTX as a Court with Patent Expertise," while Sam’s panel explores “Tribalism or Customary Practices of the EDTX?”
This symposium will address the latest theories and practices important to the development of intellectual property law and will examine emerging issues of intellectual property law through discussions with distinguished academics, jurists and leaders in the industry.
