For corporate America, the collapse of Enron in 2001 ‘seemed to tilt the scales of justice in the Government’s favor,’ according to Doreen Klein, McKool Smith senior counsel and the co-author that appeared in the Summer/Fall 2006 issue of the ABA Section of Litigation publication Criminal Litigation. By the year 2006, Klein cites many examples of how the imbalance began to change.
