Overview

Stuart McCommas is an associate in the Washington, D.C. office of McKool Smith. His practice focuses on commercial, intellectual property, and regulatory litigation. Stuart has extensive experience managing all aspects of patent infringement litigation and has participated in multiple ITC trials and federal patent infringement cases.

Prior to joining the firm, Stuart served as Deputy Associate Counsel to the President of the United States advising on IP, litigation, nominations, and ethics matters. He also served as a law clerk for the Honorable Alice Batchelder of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit and as a Patent Examiner for the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
