McKool Smith principal Nick Mathews provided commentary to Law360's article, "The 10 Biggest Patent Rulings of 2020." The article highlighted eight patent cases including Apple v. Fintiv. On this case, Nick commented that for patent owners, “if you're in the right forum where you can get to an adjudication promptly, there's a chance the PTAB won't institute an IPR.
